At least 5 GCSEs graded 9-5 including Dance and English at grade 4 or above and/or other substantial Dance experience or examinations.
This qualification is designed for candidates with a substantial dance background. Candidates are required to: choreograph, perform and analyse solo and group dances; study various dance works in depth (which includes observational theatre trips); and examine the development of dance with a focus on specific dance practitioners.
Component 1: Performance and Choreography Practical exam 80 marks 50% of A Level Component 2: Critical Engagement Written exam: 2 hours 30 minutes 100 marks 50% of A Level
This qualification will aid entrance to university to study Dance and opens the door for careers such as dance teaching, performing, choreography and critical analysis.
