Who this course is for
The Foundation Multi-skills course is a vocational programme within the Northampton College working in our modern well equipped workshops with industry relevant equipment. You will work on various carpentry, painting and decorating and Health and Safety tasks, developing new skills and knowledge used in the construction industry.

•Introduction to Health and Safety
•Constructing Carpentry Halving Joints
•Constructing Carpentry Housing Joints
•Painting Techniques
•Tiling a Plain Wall Specialist units:

Entry requirements
Entry requirements for new students - To start a Vocational Studies Programme you do not need any qualifications. Just the motivation to attend and take part! Candidates will mainly have grades 1 or 2 (F/G grades)

You will need to have personal protective equipment such as overalls and safety boots. We will provide you with a list before you join the course. You may be able to apply to the College Bursary Fund for help with paying for these items.
