The Level 2 Diploma in Care sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) regulated by Ofqual. This qualification is designed to guide and assess the development of knowledge and skills relating to the care workforce, and can be used to confirm competence in this area in a wide range of job roles. This qualification is for people working in a wide range of roles within the Care setting. As this is a competence-based qualification you’ll be assessed in a real work environment. Therefore you’ll need to be working within a care environment. Successful completion of the qualification will confirm your competence in any of the following job roles: • care assistants/support workers/key workers in residential settings, domiciliary services or day services • residential care worker • support workers in supported living projects • community-based assistants/support workers/key workers including those working in specialist areas such as dementia and learning disabilities • personal assistants employed directly by the individual they support or their families
