Cyber security is a priority for governments and organisations throughout the world. This programme will prepare apprentices for roles such as vulnerability tester, penetration tester and intrusion analyst. It will explore areas such as vulnerability assessments, malware and equip graduates with a range of state-of-the-art skills to counter modern cyber threats. The degree encompasses a broad set of skills in business analysis, solutions development, software engineering and priority areas of management; product-service development; and intellectual property management. Honours degree apprentices gain the knowledge, skills and insights that are in demand by employers today and into the future. The apprentice is supported in contextualising this learning in the workplace by practitioners from the sector. Using industry specific technology and equipment, the apprentice also develops the technical, business, project interpersonal and behavioural knowledge and skills to operate professionally in the workplace.

Students must be employed by a sponsoring organisation. Programme-specific entry requirements apply, For example: 3 A levels (subjects may be specified by employers) Other relevant qualifications or experience including progression from an appropriate Level 3 Apprenticeship Programme A GCSE A*-C pass (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics Evidence will also be considered if applicants demonstrate experience gained from voluntary activities

A wide range of assessment methods are used to test the full range of knowledge, understanding and skills required to achieve this award - methods selected are those that best reflect workplace application including, practical assessment, presentations, reports, negotiation and advocacy. Evidence from own workplace role requirements is also utilised for example projects and other work-based learning activity.
