2. Course description

The course is a 1 year course that develops the basic underpinning knowledge of the requirements for entry into Public Uniformed Services You will study units incorporating both practical and theoretical elements including Employment in the Uniformed Services Physical Fitness for the Uniformed Services Develop Team Working and Problem Solving Skills Health and Hygiene in the Uniformed Services Carry Out Map Reading and Navigation Undertake Adventurous Activities Participate in Competitive Sports Explore the Use of Telecommunication in the Uniformed Services Explore Volunteering and Volunteering Opportunities

5. Assessment method

Assessment is through coursework portfolios and assignments as ongoing assessment The package offers a well rounded education which will give an experience of different fields of assessment in preparation to progress onto advanced study on an BTEC 90 Credit Diploma Level 3 course The qualification grade will be calculated through the accumulation of credits throughout the studied units
