2. Course description
This qualification will help students gain an understanding of the aviation industry, and to prepare them for employment in the aviation sector. Areas covered by this course include health and safety, security, customer service, aviation geography and terminology, managing conflict, e-business for airlines, handling air passengers, and inter-relationships within the UK aviation industry. A range of methods are used to deliver this course, including guest speakers from the aviation industry and simulation on an aircraft and airport check-in desk. The course also includes visits to an airport, with a behind-the-scenes tour of the baggage hall and on board an aircraft.
