2. Course description
Photography - (Drawing with light), involves exploring a range of processes using lens and light based media including digital imaging, scanning and experimental darkroom processes.
If you are creative, good at design and considering a career in a creative field this course would be good for you. You should be a practical person who is happy to extend their studies outside of the classroom and work with independent frame of mind.
3. Entry requirements
To take 3 A Levels at Allerton Grange you require English Language at Grade 4 or above and grades 9-4 in at least 4 other subjects. Photography specific requirements English Language Grade 4, Maths Grade 4. Creative arts background is desirable but not essential.

You will be assessed through a mixture of coursework and exam work.
Year 12 - Component 1 - Internally Set Assignment A sustained and focused investigation involving a variety of photographic techniques. You will be asked to work in front of and behind the camera, demonstrating a wide range of skills. Year 13 - Continuation of Component 1 - Personal Investigation Your personal choice of practical work on a chosen theme.
