Food hygiene and safety training providers have identified a growing need to make food safety learning more relevant to specific business environments to increase effectiveness. Reflecting sector-specific needs, these food safety qualifications are required to address new National Occupational Standards. In line with this demand, the HABC Level 2 Awards in Food Safety have been designed to address the food safety and hygiene needs of the catering, manufacturing and retail sectors, where food is prepared, cooked and handled. The syllabus will include: Legislation, food safety hazards, temperature control, refrigeration (chilling & cold holding), cooking, hot holding and reheating, food handling, principles of safe storage, cleaning food premises & equipment. The course requirement is to have a good understanding of the English language. Pen, notepad and photographic ID. At the end of the day, you will have a multiple-choice test; therefore, you will need reasonable literacy levels and a good comprehension of the English language When you pass the course, you will receive your certificate from the Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance.
