Equivalent to 3 A Levels. At least 4-5 GCSEs graded 9-4 or A*-C including CC/44 in Double Award Science and C/4 in Maths or above.
Over the course of the two years, four of the units will be assessed through external exams, where one of which is an open-book style exam. The rest of the 13 units will be internally assessed through written work in a portfolio and successful work is awarded a Pass, Merit or Distinction. All internal assessments are subject to external verification and all units must be successfully completed in order to obtain the Extended Diploma.
