A comprehensive Distance Learning Course for students wishing to follow a career in horology, which includes elements from the Apprenticeship framework. Suitable for beginners, this course will give you the skills, knowledge and understanding to become a competent technician and will give you a platform from which to develop more specialised skills in the servicing and making of either clocks or watches.   Twelve self-contained lessons covering clock and watch servicing, practical workshop skills and the theory, history, art and science of timekeeping Practical exercise and test questions at the end of each lesson User-friendly for novice horologists Fully illustrated throughout, with step-by-step guides Sample examination papers, practical exercises and comprehensive examination syllabus in the concluding chapters Based on the syllabus for the EAL-accredited BHI exams for the Diploma in Clock and Watch Servicing (Level 3), equivalent to an A level. On completion of the course, you can apply to take the accredited examinations and then progress to the clock or watch pathways of the Intermediate and Final Grade course. Cost: £599.00
