Learners must demonstrate a commitment to learn and have the appropriate life skills. You will need Level 1 beauty therapy or grade C or above in GCSE English and Maths. Good dexterity skills are paramount and this will be with a skills test. You will need to enjoy working with other people and co-operate as part of a team. You will be assessed while working in the college salons on real clients. The practical tasks are assessed and your achievements will be recorded in your logbook. There are written tests to assess knowledge and assignment work for certain aspects of the course. Records of all the work undertaken should be kept to provide evidence of competence.
