Learning at Chesterfield College provides you with time in a workshop with experts in the world of maintenance & manufacturing & the skills of machining, cutting & lathing materials as well as welding & fabrication.
During your time on this course, you will be covering a variety of different areas of engineering & it's core elements. Gaining hands on experience learning about the maintenance of mechanical & electrical machines & the electronics behind why they work, taught how to machine, cut, form & assemble materials. Learn the concepts behind why the engineering world works & the use of CAD.

This course lays the foundations to a career in engineering, aiming towards a progression to a Level 2 course, specialising into either Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Fabrication & Welding to the apprenticeship stream or full-time stream. Post progression to Level 2, there is the option of progressing to a Level 3 again either apprenticeship or full-time, aiming to move into full-time employment at an engineering site or progressing into Higher Education.
