Painting and Decorating

This is a 4 weeks hands on practical course to teach painting and decorating from beginner to experienced trades person. Our delivery is tailored to your current knowledge and experience. Fully funded for learners 19 years + currently claiming JSA, ESA and Universal Credit. We have a motivated team of highly skilled tutors, all offering the best professional trade skill training available, we put great emphasis on a high quality finish, In fact if you do not hold the same high opinion of any training we deliver to you after completing your course with us, we will give you the opportunity to return and re take any of modules you have undertaken, this is also true of any lecture you have taken as a refresher later on, so if your trained by us you can be confident you will receive complete technical support for as long as you need it after you finish. We also invite anyone interested in joining one of our courses to visit us beforehand to see our centre in action first hand. Funded course also includes Health & Safety L1 training, CSCS test and card.

The 4 week course includes: •Line ceilings & cross line walls •Emulsion ceilings & walls •Prepare and undercoating woodwork •Prep & undercoat interior doors, complete glossing •Fixing patterned wallpapers •Splicing & cutting window recess, electrical sockets •Internal & external corners

If you wish to start a career in construction and have little or no experience, our 4 week course in Painting and Decorating is ideal to develop your basic knowledge of the construction industry and learn essential painting and decorating skills including preparing surface areas, applying paint and wallpapering walls. We can offer support to you with setting up your own business or gaining employment in the construction industry with advice from experienced and qualified professionals.

Provided including PPE. This is a trade working environment so clothes will get dirty

Practical work, workbooks and assignments

You can enroll onto further trades to become multi-skilled. Employment opportunities enhanced through employer and working site interaction during the course. This course can also set you on the pathway to becoming a skilled self-employed worker. If employment is secured there is an option to achieve L2 learning
