2. Who this course is for

"This short programme runs from September to December, with most learners progressing on to a level 2 qualification in January. This programme of study is focused on preparing you to enter various branches of the UK armed forces. During this programme individuals will study three individual qualifications: * Level 1 Occupational Studies (studies from September to December) * Level 2 Uniformed Services (studied from January to April) * Level 3 in Introduction to Uniformed Services (studied from April to June) Each of these individual courses supports the various aspects of the recruitment process for military personnel and focuses on ensuring that you improve both physically and mentally in order to be successful at the recruitment process. The expectation of this course is that you have a minimum level of fitness and no medical issues which would prevent you from joining the armed services. All Public Services students are offered the opportunity to study an additional Level 2 award qualification called Understanding Stewarding at Spectator Events. This qualification enables you to steward at various sports and entertainment events and venues. The programme also includes studying maths and English towards GCSE grade A*-C (new grading system: 9-4) if you do not already have these grades."
