This distance learning course is perfect for you if you work with children, young people, vulnerable adults, or have a legal duty in respect of Safeguarding and Prevent. The purpose of the course is to increase your knowledge and awareness of the Prevent duty and safeguarding including online safety. Topics include; extremism, British values, cyberbullying and online grooming. You will also gain understanding of the terms radicalisation, extremism and terrorism, and how best to comply with the Prevent duty. Paper copies of work can be available on request.This course will support your knowledge of safeguarding in an environment where you have duty of care for others. You will learn about safeguarding and the rights that people have to stay safe, and also how best to respond to abuse or harm. This course is designed to support the progression towards the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead'.
