Psychology is the scientific study of mental processes and behaviour. Students are encouraged to develop a broad knowledge and understanding of the core areas of Psychology through a range of topics such as memory, attachment, mental illness and obedience. Throughout the course students develop their understanding of how scientists investigate scientific phenomena in their quest to explain the world about us. Students will have the opportunity to design and conduct their own psychological studies conducting peer analysis and evaluation to support assessment. You will learn to apply your knowledge and understanding rather than just acquiring knowledge, thereby developing your transferable skills of analysis, evaluation and critical thinking.
