If you are keen to join one of the Armed Forces or the Emergency Services, this course is for you. It will help develop your personal organisation, discipline and physical fitness. Course Content The Uniformed Services course is intended to develop your knowledge, understanding and skills required for successful employment in Uniformed Services at an operational level, or for progressing to advanced study. The six units of study cover the role of Uniformed Services and Careers within the Armed Forces, Emergency and Security Services, HM Customs and Excise, and Community Service organisations, and the skills required to perform the roles. Units include: • Crime • Role and Work of the Public Services • Employment • Adventurous Activities • Citizenship Working Skills There will be sporting outdoor activities and opportunities. You will gain an overall qualification grade of Pass, Merit, Distinction or Distinction*.

There will be one written assignment per unit and other assessments for practical and class-based activities. There will be two externally assessed exams. These will take the form of tutor observations, photographic, audio and video evidence. You will compile a portfolio of these assessments.
