Five GCSEs at grade three or above Including English Language and Mathematics.
You will be assessed on a constant basis throughout the course. The assessment procedure for each unit involves completing a programme of assignments. The evidence produced will satisfy Pass, Merit and Distinction criteria. Two units are externally verified via exams. The ‘Engineering World’ unit is an online multiple choice exam and 'Interpreting and Using Engineering Information’ is a paper-based exam, both of which are done under controlled conditions at the College.
Successful students may advance to a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Engineering, or to an Apprenticeship in Engineering at Level 3. Progression to Level 3 will depend on your attendance, Level 2 results and GCSE grades.
