The Level 3 programme gives you the opportunity to experience many aspects of the industry through a mixture of theory and practice, equipping yourself with the essential knowledge and skills required to progress to higher education in a related field of study. Youll do a substantial work placement, in a range of settings and will develop specialist skills and knowledge, covering infection prevention and anatomy, as well as physiological, sociological and psychological health care perspectives and working practices. The Level 3 programme in Health and Social Care has been designed to enable students to access Higher Education or assist with progression into the workplace, to various support roles in areas such as residential care homes, nursing homes, day centres, childrens centres, health centres, supported or sheltered accommodation, domiciliary or community care and respite care.
