This course is designed for 16-18 year old and adult learners the course will include a substantial amount of careers related learning designed to support progression to the suitable next step, this could include educational trips, employability skills and employer encounters such as guest speakers. For 16-18 year old will be delivered as a study programme which includes math and English where applicable and work experience.

- 3 GCSEs at grade G/1 or higher including maths and English. - Entry criteria will be applied at the discretion of the course manager.

You will study the following: - Structure of the construction industry - Fundamental safe working practices - Environmental and sustainability measures in domestic dwellings - Site preparation for working in the construction industry - Above ground drainage - Copper pipework - Plastic pressure pipework - Low carbon steel pipework - Installation, repair and maintenance of plumbing systems - Plumbing science All LMC students will receive tutorial support. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study Functional English and Maths qualifications or GCSE mathematics and English if not already awarded a grade C/4 or higher in these subjects. If you have a grade D/3 at GCSE you will study maths and/or English GCSE. Students with a grade lower than D/3 will work towards GCSE through the study of Maths & English Functional Skills. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into further or higher education, training or employment.
