The National Council for the Training of Journalists Diploma is the only qualification you need to pursue a career in journalism and leads directly to a job as a multimedia journalist. The NCTJ course is a great alternative to university for students wanting to go straight into a career in journalism, or for graduates who wish to go into the industry. We run two 18-week fast-track courses each academic year starting in September and late January. Each course delivers a top-class grounding in the essentials required to land a job in journalism, from shorthand to essential journalism, media law to public affairs. You are also required to produce an E-Portfolio of stories. You will learn how to plan, film and edit video packages as part of our very successful Videojournalism module, an important skill for multimedia journalists. For further information on NCTJ, please visit www.nctj.com.
