Everyone is welcome to apply to the course provided you are 16 years old +. Funding available up to 18 years old. Alternatively grants may be available. You will need to have either three GCSEs at grades 3 and one GCSE at grade 4 or an equivalent.
You will be assessed by a range of methods including multiple choice exams practical assessments written assignments presentations and projectsSynopticassignmentThe synoptic assignment is externally set internally marked andexternally moderated. The assignment requires candidates toidentify and use effectively in an integrated way an appropriateselection of skills techniques concepts theories and knowledge fromacross the content area. After this course you will have the basic skills required to work with a tree surgery company as a groundsperson Alternatively on successful completion of this course at a merit grade you will have the option of continuing onto the Level 3 diploma in forestry and arboriculture.
