This workshop will show how quickly and easily a web presence can be established using WordPress. WordPress is the most popular blogging system in use on the Web, powering over 60 million websites worldwide. A "website in a box", it can be customised for almost any purpose through a wide variety of plugins and templates to create e-commerce sites, online galleries and much more. WordPress is "open source" software, which means it is completely free and there is no risk of it being suddenly discontinued. As a type of "content management system" (CMS), it is ideal for any website that needs to be frequently updated. It allows professional results without the need to learn any code.
